Frame rate and timing
The FPS setting is a requested rate. The plugin grabs frames from the viewport as they render, so the achieved rate depends on how fast your project renders and how fast the encoder keeps up. Recording several seats at 1080p costs more than one seat at 720p.
Every frame is listed in <seat>-frames.csv with its acquisition time, so you can see the real cadence. Frame numbers in the CSV and manifest match the frames in the MP4.
For the lowest latency between rendering and capture, the plugin works with framegrabber.framelatency 0.
Tips for steady recordings:
- Record at 720p unless you need 1080p.
- Close other GPU-heavy apps.
- Record fewer seats when you do not need them all.
